Do I need an audit if I am a small company?
Even small companies must maintain audited financial statements in case shareholders request to see them. Also, audited financial statements for a certain number of years are a prerequisite for converting your company’s legal form.
Is AML registration mandatory for all companies?
If your company falls within the definition of designated non-financial businesses and professions (DNFBPs), it must mandatorily register on goAML. Most real estate firms, trusts, company service providers, independent legal practitioners and accountants, and dealers of precious metals and stones qualify as DNFBPs.
How long does liquidation take?
Liquidations typically take a minimum of 60-90 days, since there’s a mandatory waiting period of 45 days between publishing the liquidation notice and submitting a no-objection declaration letter to the Department of Economic Development (DED).
Who signs my audit report?
Audit reports are signed by the auditor, followed by their name, registration number, and the date and location of signature.
What happens if I don't register for AML?
Failing to register on goAML can attract severe penalties from the Ministry of Economy & Tourism.
Do you handle visa cancellations during liquidation?
Yes, Skrooge assists in the formal closure of all employee visas as part of its liquidation package.
